Director of Procurement (FOOD)
Location: Olympia, WA
Salary: 145:155K (negotiable)
Compensation: Competitive with full benefits, bonus, perks, travel, great office. Relocation offered for right hire.
The Director of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of all materials, equipment, services and supplies. This is a fast:paced role that requires a customer service oriented individual who can engage with vendors and service providers in an efficient manner and in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Oversee purchasing of all materials, equipment, services and supplies with regard to food and procuring produce, proteins, packaging and experience working various food manufacturers
:Efficiently manage Procurement team performance, providing exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers, partners, and vendors.
:Negotiate with different suppliers for price, quality, timeliness and other factors.
:Expedite and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
:Write and analyze requisitions, invoices, supply requests and supply orders.
:Track and monitor inventory and needs to determine when to order or purchase new items.
:Coordinate payment, delivery, scheduling and organization of purchases.
:Define, measure and track categories for spending to provide targeted analyses of budget.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
:A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
:Successful track record of Leadership in Category / Product Management, Trade Marketing and Merchandising, and Supply Chain within the food and beverage industry.
:Experience developing and implementing procurement strategy.
:Comfortable with developing supplier collaboration and supplier compliance programs.
:Experience developing requests for proposals.
:Customer service and negotiating skills.
:Detail:oriented, with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
:Ability to demonstrate excellent judgement and escalate issues as needed.
:Knowledge and previous experience using ERP WMS and Inventory Management Solutions.
:Aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring proper follow through and completion.
