Data Entry/Customer Service Rep (Shelton Washington)
Description: Customer Service/EDI Data Entry

Data Entry/Customer Service Job Purpose: Process electronic data interchange for sales accounts by maintaining policies and procedures, and assisting customers over the phone with technical support

Position Duties:
• Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies
• Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting or reentering data
• Enter new electronically transmitted sales orders into internal computer system
• Process shipments through electronic data computer systems
• Process electronic invoices through computer systems
• Establish priority level of order entry
• Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
• Assist with customer service calls and walk-in customers
• Process mailings by creating postage and tracking information
• Provide various support to Sales, Accounting, and Executive staff
• Communicate with vendors as necessary to ensure compliance
• Assist with answering a multi-line telephone system and directing calls appropriately

Essential Skills Required:
Excellent command over the language - written and oral
At least 2 years of customer service experience
Data analysis and interpretation skills
Computer management skills
Proficient with Excel and other MS Office programs
Speed and accuracy with attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Punctual attendance
Degree in business, sales/marketing, or the secretarial field a plus

Additional Skills Preferred but Not Required:
Experience in EDI or experience with UPC and GTIN item coding
Experience in SageMAS500 program
Experience with SPS Commerce EDI platform
